Wokai is formally launching its Hong Kong Chapter.  We would like to invite you to be a part of the festivities - to learn more about Wokai and microfinance in China through our panel speakers, to meet the Wokai Hong Kong team, and to enjoy an evening of delicious food, good company and music / dance in the outdoor patio. Wokai welcomes you to the second installment of our Drinks for a Better World campaign - Autumn Moon Festival edition. We initiated this campaign back in March as an opportunity to bring together like-minded individuals who share a passion for philanthropy and social responsibility. We have had tremendous success in the past and look forward to bringing you yet another educational, entertaining and worthwhile experience.

On Thursday, October 1, please join Wokai volunteers and supporters alike at the Cigar Bar in the financial district to celebrate this year's Autumn Moon Festival, or in Chinese, 中秋節. The festival is held on the date when the moon is supposedly at its fullest and roundest and we will definitely be utilizing the open courtyard at the Cigar Bar to catch a glimpse of the beautiful moon.

Wokai Hong Kong Launch Party

On November 18th, Wokai's Hong Kong Chapter celebrated its launch event.  The event brought together over 200 Wokai friends and supporters and focused on the next frontier of China's microfinance development. Highlights included speeches from Wokai's Co-Founder & CEO, Casey Wilson and Grameen Foundation's Asia CEO, Jennifer Meehan, and a guest performance by popular artist MC Jin.
